Fritz Schmid, President
Mr. Schmid is the owner and president of the company. Mr. Schmid received his secondary education in his native Switzerland, with university undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of South Florida, in Tampa. After five years with Woodbury & Associates, Inc. in Tampa, Mr. Schmid founded Pfitzco, Inc. in 1978. He is a member of SNAME and has 40 years of engineering experience with over 35 years in the marine field.

Robert J. Norton, Mechanical Engineer P.E., Vice President
Mr. Norton came to Pfitzco, Inc. in June 1994, from the University of Tennessee where he earned a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has since completed his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida. In addition, he is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Florida, Texas and Oregon and has extensive knowledge in all aspects of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. He is an active member of SNAME as well as the National Society of Professional Engineers and The Florida Engineering Society.

Steve Tribbey came to Pfitzco, Inc., in June 2006, with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida State University. He has since gained extensive knowledge in the field of Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture. In addition, he has local and international experience as an offshore consultant for both development & salvage projects. He is an active member of SNAME (Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers) and ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers).
